Writer/Producer

Joel is the 2018 winner of the AWGIE Award for Best Short Film for 'I Fucked a Mermaid and No One Believes Me.' His films have played at festivals including Flickerfest, Tropfest, Signes De Nuit and Sydney Underground Film Festival. His fiction has been published in Voiceworks, UTS Writers Anthology, and his theatre work has been performed at PACT Centre for Emerging Artists and ATYP’s The Voices Project.

YIANI andrikidis

Director/Producer

As an assistant director, Yiani Andrikidis has worked on Hyde and Seek, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Alex and Eve, Here Comes the Habibs, Soul Mates, the Tropfest 2016 finalist Tay Man, and music videos for Basenji and Cosmo’s Midnight. Yiani also has a wealth of experience in post-production, having worked as an editor at Channel 7, The Creative Foundry, and Triumph Leisure Solutions.

david mA

Director/Producer

David Ma’s debut short film, House of Lee, screened at festivals including Flickerfest, SUFF and MUFF. He’s currently a production assistant at MTV, working on a variety of broadcast and promotional content across their media channels. David has a particular interest in telling stories about race and the immigrant experience in Australia.

madeleine purdy

Director/Producer

Madeleine Purdy is currently working as a production co-ordinator at Animal Logic on The Lego Batman Movie. Before this Madeleine worked in a variety of roles in the creative industries, at Freemantle Media, Vivid Ideas Festival and MTV. Madeleine’s work frequently deals with feminism and contemporary internet culture.

Josh Vines is a producer and publicist working at Paperbark Films and Aerial Films Australia. He is currently involved in the finance and development for their feature projects Madman’s Tale and Own The Sky. Josh has a passion for all aspects of screen business, having worked at the International Chinese Film Festival, The Yellow Agency and Harry M Miller Group.
